Printed Aluminium Asset Labels

Client Name: The British Broadcasting CorporationDate: 2009

In 2009 Brunel Engraving Company was approached by the BBC and assigned the task of producing over 3500 asset labels for desks within their main news rooms. The specification requested was for each label to be hardwearing, must not fade and to include a variable bar code that could easily be scanned using the BBC's hand held scanners.

Using the latest machinery and software, Brunel Engraving re-programed each individual barcode and supplied a full colour print in a white aluminium. The process used had a clear advantage to screen printing as the print would not peel off when in situ or fade away. Prior to dispatch each label went through a strict quality control process ensuring barcodes were correct and readable.

The order was completed within the required lead time and supplied with no errors. It was this accuracy and attention to detail shown by Brunel Engraving that helped win another order with the BBC producing a further 3000 labels.
